Lyme Disease ~ Dance

Lyme Disease and Dance ~ journeys that can strengthen us and illuminate our souls. No one would chose the journey of Lyme Disease, but the rollercoaster develops strength of character and openness to God - a freeing dependence and grateful for life. Dance allows us to make a journey of discovery, of joy, of stretching boundaries through the earthly bodies that inhabit our souls. Our minds are pushed to the limit when struggling to understand the complexities of Lyme Disease.

Curcumin

Curcumin was prescribed for inflammation.

The doctor suggested Thorne Research brand since it is a Meriva -SR. However, I couldn't tolerate the soy (phytosome). So tried another brand that has less soy - Doctor's Best Curcumin with Mervia. The soy still bothered me so I searched for one without soy. Nature's Sunshine had one with less soy and with black pepper to increase bio-availability. But I still wanted one without soy entirely.

I found one ! I am now taking Life Extension Super Bio-Curcumin (title is linked and in list to the right ). It doesn't taste good, but works for me and does not have soy, dairy or gluten.

Floating: Suspended in Dance

I've always been intrigued by the science and art of dance intertwining. I also feel the freedom she has from gravity and the power with which she controls her movement is representative of a life without Lyme. Maybe a life that has conquered Lyme, because it would mean far more to be free...

‎'Floating: Suspended in Dance', featuring Houston Ballet principal Melody Mennite, is the first in a series of videos that examine the unseen world of the performing artist.

Dance of Lyme - naming my blog

Over a year ago when I was trying to figure out what the title or name of my blog would be, Dance of Lyme seemed to fit. I did several searches over the months of planning and did not find anything close to what I was working on until this video came out: www.lymedisease.org/news/touchedbylyme/dance.html
This dancer's depiction of the complex struggle with Lyme is explained through an award winning dance.

Now however, there seem to be several blogs and sites with the Dance of Lyme title. I sure hope you return here

Dance of Lyme

Dance of Lyme - my 'dance' with Lyme Disease. No one would chose the journey of Lyme Disease, but the rollercoaster develops strength of character and openness to God - a freeing dependence and grateful for life.

Dance allows us to make a journey of discovery, of joy, of stretching boundaries through the earthly bodies that inhabit our souls.
